Yes, the onboard speakers of the SX 900 work well to self-monitor, while playing live.  Otherwise, an external speaker system seems a must.  I can’t recall ever using the SX 900 live without a set of powered monitors.

I would move this to the expansion pack section.

I’ve seen this G Super X pack on their website before, it is not new and it’s not “Genos 2 sounds”, so not sure where you read that. It says the pack is 999 MB (all of the SX900 expansion memory)

Yamaha Keyboards - General / Re: Free Chord Looper Banks for download

Is there a user manual for the Chord Looper Editor?

Is there a way (a program) to play the chord progressions on a PSR S970?

I found these old threads:

https://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php?topic=59010.0
https://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php?topic=57361.0

and Youtube video: https://youtu.be/VyMWVMtEw2U

The original developer of the Chord Looper PC program hasn't posted since 2021...

Take care -- pj

Thank you!

But I need to figure out how to do it on a Mac.

I opened the "hidden" Library, and spent a lot of time navigating around, but could not find the patch folder. Searching didn't bring it up either.

Any ideas on how to do it on a Mac?

EDIT:

Found it:

Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/Cubase XX/Scripts/Patchnames/inactive/Yamaha

Yesterday exploring their page I found a new pack that they call G-Master X, in their YouTube videos it looks promising.

Genos - General / Re: Tyros to Genos Files

Can you explain HOW to get the registrations, user voices, from Tyros3 to Genos? Just upgraded and have been stuck trying to do this for weeks

Just copy them to a USB. And copy them in from there.

Cheers,
Fred

Hi Divemaster. Yes i was switching between songs.

Well here is a fourth for you to consider.

Get 2 "Maui 5" external speaker systems (for stereo) and blow the Genos and Genos 2 out of the ballpark.
Cost on Amazon is $675 each. Keyboard and speakers $3650. ;D

The additional cost would still be less than any Genos and the speaker system would last forever.  ;)
That would be a savings of about $1350 or more.  8)

Plus the SX900 speakers are now your monitor system.

I take it that you used the packs on the USB to load into the YEM. By all means keep these on a USB as back ups. I also have mine saved to a folder on my computer.

Thanks for the quick response....Yes i did use YEM and yip also saved in a folder on my computer.....
I'll just fire the Update onto the same stick and Update...
Thanks again....
