on SX600 Can you change the PART OCTAVE +/- of the STYLE Sounds ?
I know you can do it for RH parts 1&2 but what about the Style parts?...
Thank you

There is no option - / + 12 note but the same effect can be obtained in SSF settings.

ckobu thanx I checked that out and boy that looks a bit daunting and complicated.. ???
maybe its just better to find a different style.

ckobu

It may seem complicated, but it's just a change of one value. Try it.
[Note limit Low] - raise this value, all played tones below that value play an octave higher
or
[Note Limit High] - lower this value, all played tones play an octave lower.

In addition to this, there is a method of changing the octave in the Mix Master program. Its very simple.

Manual
QuoteRun the program as Administrator.
A. In Windows 7, right click on the desktop icon and select Properties/ Shortcut tab. Then depress the Advanced button and check the Run as Administrator.
B. If this is unsuccessful, try:Start/ControlPanel. Select System and Security. Select the System Topic.
Click Advanced system settings. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Under Performance, click Settings.
Click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
To turn off DEP for an individual program, select the check box next to the program that you want to turn off DEP for, and then click OK.If the program is not in the list, click Add. Browse to the Program Files folder, find the executable file for the program (it will have an .exe file name extension), and then click Open. Click OK, click OK in the System Properties dialog box if it appears, and then click OK again. You might need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
When finished click Apply and Ok.

I have brought up many times with Yamaha this lack of Octave change for style part voices, many 3rd party style parts require octave adjustment.
This Octave + - for style parts is availble on Korg products.

The solution with Korg is a bad and sometimes inaccurate. Yamaha's approach is more correct and we can act with complete precision. If we add the [High Key] parameter to this as the point where the instrument transitions to the lower octave, we have complete control. The - / + 12 concept makes sense for Right sounds, but in the Style area this rough division can only be used if the instrument is sampled in the wrong octave.

That might be a problem with your virusscanner.
Just open the file to install Mixmaster v19r1.
