Hi From Portugal
« on: April 03, 2024, 10:23:17 AM »
Originally from the UK I now live in southern Portugal where life is good.

Since an early age I have been fascinated by musical instruments. I have played guitar most of my life, banjo from about 10 years ago, harmonica and an assortment of other instruments -  but, if I'm honest, not very well.

I have always liked the combination of technology and art and and it is that, I think, that has led me to buy a Yamaha sx600 a few weeks ago via the route of a midi controller keyboard and an old 1990's midi arranger which I acquired 4 or 5 years ago and just left unused in my shed. I was looking to understand digital audio workstations (Cubase, Reaper etc) to record music but found that what I really enjoyed was just playing the keyboard with the old midi arranger providing the backing arrangements.

Already I'm hooked on the SX600. The technology feels quite sophisticated and I am slowly getting my head around all its features. I will no doubt have a few questions and, having read through many of the posts on this forum, I am sure I will find my answers.

I had a few problems registering on the forum but my thanks to Roger for sorting it out for me.
