Hello everyone, I took my Tyros 5 Keyboard, 76 keys, to a technician, who is not authorized by Yamaha, to fix the motherboard and he was unable to do so. He replaced the entire set responsible for the digital mesh, the batch of memories, the PWR, VHC and analyzed the diodes, capacitors, resistors and regulators phase by phase and the defect remains, that is, the Display does not light up. He thinks the defect is in the secondary meshes, which come through the middle of the plate. I asked Yamaha, through authorized technical assistance, for a new motherboard and they responded that Yamaha no longer had this board in stock and would no longer manufacture it. The person responsible for the authorized station informed me that Yamaha has another board that works for the Tyros 5, but that the Display also needs to be changed. If you only change the board, the keyboard will work, but with noise, and the service must be carried out by an authorized Yamaha service center for a 90-day warranty. In my city there is no authorized Yamaha assistance to carry out the service. The nearest post is in another state, 200 km away. I'm trying to contact them but I can't. They don't answer the phone, they don't respond to emails or WhatsApp messages. I would like to know if anyone has had this type of problem with the Tyros 5. The cost of the service should be around 3 thousand dollars. The price of a used Tyros 5, 76 keys, here is around 5 thousand dollars. I have already invested in the original TRS-MS05 speakers, a 1GB memory expansion card and 3 voice packs. If I buy a new SX900 keyboard it will cost the same price as repairing the Tyros 5 and this equipment will no longer be useful to me. Thank you in advance for your attention.
