When I do a MIDI recording on the Genos, there are a whole lot of SysEx messages at the start of the MIDI file.
When I record MIDI from the Genos directly into Cubase, there are far fewer SysEx messages and none of the ones that occur at the beginning of the MIDI file.
When I import the MIDI file from the Genos into Cubase and play it pack, it sounds just like I it sounded when I originally recorded it. When I mute the SysEx messages in the MIDI file and play it back, it sounds exactly the same, which leaves me wondering what all of those SysEx messages in the MIDI file are doing.
Lots of mysteries! If anyone knows the answers to some of these questions, I'd be happy to hear them.
