Surely not!! The creators of the pack have assured me several times that this pack is not only within copyright, but Yamaha have authorized them to sell it!
Hi Derek,
when I said "copyright reasons", I did NOT mean the copyright of the
Contents (e.g. of the sampled Voices). What I meant before is that Yamaha could not have allowed these Packs to be sold under the name "G
henos" (due to the risk of confusion with the original name "Genos").
And there is certainly a reason that the included Voice types are no longer "Revo!" but "Dyno!" be called. (The Yamaha Revo drum technology is not really used here, but "only" a special sampling technique so that these Voices sound similar to the original Genos Revo kits.)
Also eg the Yamaha Voice types "Mega!" and "S.Art" no longer appear in the Voice names of the current "G-Keys" or "G-Master Keys" Packs. I therefore suspect that Yamaha does not allow the use of these original Voice type names here. (By the way, the "S.Art" voices in the earlier "Ghenos" packs are not really based on the Yamaha Super Articulation technology, but these Voices only "imitate" this.)
Best regards,
Chris
