Maybe when i explain what pulls me from pa4x to Genos...
Most of those things are Genos only
- touchscreen interface, so intuitive..
- the DSP power, that does not only surpass pa4x, but also my Kronos.
- dual midi din connectors
- the ensemble voices, which are unique, and the thing i loved most in my T5
- the SA2 voices, which take acoustic sounds another step up.
- the organ voices
- the joystick
- the liveknobs and sliders
- the assignable buttons
- the whole array of expansions and the large exp memmory..
Offcourse there is quite a lot of other things genos has over PSR (also covered on pa4x)
- better keybed with aftertouch.
- setlists
- 3 assignable buttons for articulations
- much better piano sounds, string sounds, guitar sounds (39mdifferent accoustic ones)
- at least 3 times the sample rom
Then there are some things in both instruments that triggered me
- the huge style collection for yamaha arrangers
- the performance memmories, which are the thing i miss most on pa4x
- all the 3rd party pc software for edditing and creation..
- 32 parts multitimbrallity, this is huge, as trough programs like v-console or keystage(ipad) reusing voices for a 2nd keyboard is easy
- the option to use arps on right hand voices.
- an incredible community
Offcourse i could write a list here of things the pa4x has over the genos, or an even longer list of things that would make Genos(or pa4x) even more cool.
But i think its safe to say, that the Genos is the best arranger key money can buy today, and probably in the next 3 years to come. And all the missing features, i will add with my ipad.
