Hi from Liverpool UK
« on: May 05, 2024, 02:59:07 PM »
Thanks admin for allowing me to join,
I have just received my brand new Genos 2 after a couple of years of saving and convincing my wife.
So on a bit of a learning curve  at the moment at 63 years of age.
I will have a read through some of the comments and hopefully pick up a few things along the way.
Will have to start from scratch to learn the chords etc although I can slowly read a bit of music and manage to make a tune of two, mainly by ear.
regards
John

As a beginner you should concentrate on learning to play. Don’t get caught up in feature fever on the Genos, which is easy to do, because it can do so much. At this stage all you need to know is how to select a chord finger mode, how to select a style and voices, and then just learn to play, and read simple lead sheets. Don’t worry about registrations, effects, recording etc etc.
Consider a beginner keyboard and music course. You spent a lot on the keyboard, now spend a bit on learning to play so you get value from it.

Hi from Florida in the USA. Welcome to a great forum. Plenty of experience and lots of willingness to be of assistance. Enjoy yourself with your new Genos 2 and don't be afraid of asking questions. Keep in mind... most of the dumb questions are those that haven't been asked.
