Arranger Style File Based Song Creation Program
(1/1)
Nova227:
This is a very interesting backing track program based on Style Files
Some ideas and features that maybe of interest to you.
(windows/ Mac) Jjazz Lab version 4 free open source
- uses standard Stye files…Yamaha, Roland, Ketron etc. Jjazz Lab call them Rhythms for some reason.
- Chord input is via a standard chord chart, similar to the Band In A Box approach.
- input chord from keyboard / mouse , music xml / mxl file, band in the box , .cvs, Impro Visor, iReal Pro etc
- quickly make a midi Arrangement using a style , play it back using the internal sound engine
- connect it to your psr via usb to usie your internal sound card
- once loaded into the PSR you can edit the midi as you would any other midi file.
- very interesting approach to song Registration and style modification.
One thing that I found very useful was for auditioning Styles. Quick and sounds good. It uses the basic file manager approach from windows / Mac .
Excellent program design with a lot of potential .

Genos!:
Perhaps to some it's interesting.
Still lots of bugs and no sync capabilities.
Thanks, but no thanks.
I don't see any features that I don't already have covered and therefore for many it's additional software without any additional benefit.
I avoid java as it's also another entry point for hackers.
I do appreciate the info as it's a work in progress. Perhaps someday it may become useful.
DrakeM:
I don't see this program does anything that our Style Creator and Midi recorder can't do. But I looks like something my nephews (who play guitar) could possible use and I will pass this program on to them.
Thanks
Drake
