It turns out it was a fake from a FB user who wanted to be funny. There is no Firmware 1.03 for Genos2.

I so much looking forward to an update!

I was so excited for the new function style-dynamic, but it is worthless as long as you can't save it in registrations. You mess up other registrations if you try. There is some more bugs, but for med this is the worst.

From my view it looks like a very small programming thing, so I don't get why Yamaha didn't fix it long time ago.

Hello Friends

I got my Genos 2 in USA when I went to Demo it at the NAMM show this past January 2024, and it has the 1.02 Firmware installed, My Genos2 was from the shipment to the YCA (Yamaha Corporation of America).

Anyway, if I did not mentioned before, I moved back to México 3 years ago(side effect of Covid with my jobs), so, anyway, I have a friend that owns a store that is a Yamaha dealership, I assist form time to time to the owner I know long time ago, so, I assist her with a customer that wanted to see and heard the G2, so, I show and made the Demo on my own G2 ( In Mexico Yamaha de México is a little slower getting the new models, but they kindly let me use one to prepare my Demo for the NAMM show), so, this customer, purchased one, and my friend was very lucky to get one Genos2 very fast, and in fact, it does have the 1.03 Firmware.....Unfortunately, it does remember to set it on Style Dynamic Control, BUT, it does not remember the amount set it by the user....

SO, I just wanted to clear that out, and I agreed, with a future update to be able to set the registration and keep the amount of Style Dyniamic corntrol, and other new parameters desire to be saved also with the amount of it.

A curious note, the Genos2 USA version (like mine), it has the Bluetooth and the WiFi, the Mexican G2 does not.....

Just my 2 cents.

Apparently there are some Genos2 that come with firmware V1.03 (which is currently not available for official download) from the factory. I suspect that there will soon be a further improved official update, probably V1.04.

Yes, those G2s that have the 1.03 Firmware are most likely the newly manufactured G2.

I don't think so and cannot be like this. No hardware should be modified after launch date. Because that means the old ones must be changed as well to accept new OS.
It remains only the thing that they have released some of the keyboard with the new OS which must come in the next weeks (maybe).
