Using a style, I can use one finger to play chords on my new PSR E473. Is there anyway this can be done without using styles?

Hi

If you set your Fingering style to Multi finger, then you can play chords with one, two or three fingers without using any styles.

Thanks. But i see no difference between those two fingering styles and not using them at all. A single finger is playing a single note - that is play a C and the4 C note plays , not a C chord. I may be missing something here - brand new with this/

I don't own an E473, but like all other Yamaha keyboards, you'll probably need to turn on ACMP to play one-finger chords. However, a style does not actually have to be started.

Call up any style, start the style and then turn all 8 Parts of the style OFF.
Next turn you Left hand voice button ON.

You can then use one finger for a C chord
Use two notes for a C7 and 3 notes for a Cm7 chord
