Topic: Loaded styles are not playing in PSR-E473

So I recently loaded a file onto my PSR-E473 using MusicSoft Downloader, but the style I loaded is not playing properly. The name and tempo number appear, but no instruments and the chords I play do not work. Could anyone please help me with this issue?

Hi Salman

I wonder why you have used Music Soft downloader to load a style into your PSR E473, rather than simply importing the style directly to the keyboard using Yamahas built in software on your keyboard?

Pretty well all recent and previous styles can be used by following the steps detailed on Page 28 of the REFERENCE Manual for which I have downloaded a link below for you.

Please note that this is NOT the User Manual that you will have received with your keyboard.

Styles must be in the. Sty format to work, but bear in mind that some styles may simply be incompatible with your keyboard, or the particular file may be corrupted in some way preventing it from being used.

Try loading files as described, and I'm sure you'll have no further issues.

Hello Keith, I just wanted to express my gratitude for your valuable advice and assistance. I understand that you might be curious  that why I used MusicSoft Downloader from Yamaha to import my styles instead of using a USB. The reason is that I don't currently have a USB or a used one that I can use to import the styles that I have loaded. Therefore, I am planning to purchase a new USB soon.

I'm quite sure that once you have a usb stick you'll be just fine.
