Step record (from 4/4 to 3/4)
« on: February 19, 2024, 04:30:36 PM »
Hello, I'm currently recording the song "Only Time" using the step record process. At one point I have to switch from 4/4 time to 3/4 time. How can I achieve this using the step record method?
Best regards Helbi

In a German keyboard forum it was confirmed to me that a style or time change is not possible in the step record process. So I will prepare the song with registrations, record it using the quick record method and possibly post-process it via DAW.

Well, not *really* possible, but you can chord step record with the 3/4 style and then chord step record the part of the songs with the 4/4 style and splice it in Cubase/Logic/ etc?

Interesting though, because the Genos 2 and PSRA5000 can do mixed time signatures in a single style; so in theory you *can* chord step record a song that's 3/4 and 4/4 if you put them both in a single style (but different variations) and then render it out.
