Intro editing
« on: February 06, 2024, 07:26:33 AM »
Until now, I was able to change the sounds of styles as I pleased.
I saved this as a new style using the Memory and OTS erasers.
Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to edit and save the Intro.
Here, I am not thinking of the Registration Memoria solution, but of transforming an old style into a new style.
Do you know a solution to this?

hi Pityus,
Can you be more specific what exactly you wish to change in intro? I ask because the process of changing & saving settings for Main variations and Intro's, is the same: you just select desired Intro instead of Main variation.

To change the voices in the intro you do not use MEMORY.

Instead you need to go into the Style Creator program and revoice there and then save the style with a new name. Use this method for change any parts of your styles.

Dear BogdanH!
Regarding the Intro, I want to do the following:
1.- Copy the well-effected accordion sound in the Intro to the following location: Main Variation.2 (OTS2).
2.- To edit the sounds in the Intro.
3.- Copy and replace the entire Intro.1,2,3 with a completely different style.

hi Pityus,
I assume that we are talking about user (unlocked) styles -preset styles are locked and don't allow much editing. You didn't say what SX keyboard you have, so I will assume it's SX700/900.

1.+3. Copying style content
The process of copying sections (Intro, Main, Fill, etc.) is called style Assembly (see Reference Manual, page24).
Assembly screen has four columns:

Destination track (of selected style) | Source style name | Source section | Source track

Let's say that Intro1 has accordion in Chd2 track and you wish to copy that track into Chd1 track of Main B:
1. Select Main B variation on keyboard panel
2. Destination track is Chd1, so you need to look at Chd1 row
3. Next to Chd1 is source style name column -we skip that, because source and destination style is the same
4. Next column is source section (currently Main B) -change it to Intro1 (that's where from you wish to copy)
5. Last column is source track (currently Chd1) -change it to Chd2 (that's where accordion is in Intro 1)
Done. Save the style -give it a new name... in case something went wrong  :)

That way you can copy any section/track from any style to another (or the same) style.
I recommend watching this video (turn subtitles on).

2. Editing sounds
Depends on what exactly you wish to edit... If you wish to edit at notes level, then you can do that with StepEditor (which inside of Style Creator). If you only wish to change voice in particular track, then you can do that in Style Creator (Rec Channel section). If you wish to change volume/balance of certain track, then you can do that by opening the Mixer from within Style Creator. And if you wish to... then you can ....  :)

Thank you all for your help!
I will struggle with solving the suggestions,
because the accordion sound (MusetteAccordion) in the Intro is effected differently,
as found in the instrument's original location.
I don't know if this is allowed, but I would like to send the style
anyone interested in helping me with what i'm trying to do now.

When track is copied, all settings/effects are copied as well -that is, copied track will sound exactly the same as in it's original location.
