Topic: YEM without internet connection ?

Hi,

Before I install win 10 on my old laptop… I have a question:
There is a note on yamaha website saying that after installing YEM and before starting the program, the computer has to be connected to the internet. Why?
Can YEM operate without internet and why it needs internet connection?

I want to use win 10 without internet.

I don't know how is it with internet, but YEM (version 2. works well with old Win 7.

I'm using YEM on Win10 and it works normally without internet access (I blocked YEM in firewall). I think the only reason why YEM (is trying to) access internet, is to inform you if there's newer YEM version available.

Yes, after installing Windows and YEM, it works without problems.
