It is hard to believe it is almost 2 years since I learned of this website. I was a guest but now a member. It takes me a while to do stuff. I am a 76 year old Canadian and did have my PSR-9000 up for sale but now have decided to keep it. It has beautiful sounds. I have it sitting on top of my Yamaha FS-30 organ and run it through the organ speakers which is also connected to a Leslie 720.I love the organ but wanted to add more voice selection hence the 9000. I am a complete novice so you will groan when I tell you I use auto accompaniment from the organ and voices from both. I want to learn more about using the 9000 so will head over to that board. Sorry for the lengthy post.  George

Welcome to the PSR Tutorial Forum, George!

Thank you for the details about yourself. I hope you continue to enjoy using Yamaha keyboards.

By the way, my first experience with Yamaha keyboards was with a PSR-9000 that I purchased from a music colleague when he switched to Tyros2. I traded in the PSR-9000 when Tyros4 was introduced. I then replaced the latter with a Tyros5, which I still have and really enjoy playing.

My Genos(1) is mainly used at performances when I need two keyboards. But I always have it with me as a backup in case the T5 should fail (but thanks to Yamaha quality, this has never happened before). Well, and since yesterday I also have a Genos2 lying around... ;)

All the best from Germany,
Chris
