I agree.
I'm in the North East UK too, but I think the combination of the Newcastle/Amsterdam ferry, along with a very long drive of 1239km make it a no go.
It's simply not viably economical. Even when, as I do, you have the necessary Crits D'Air permit for passing through Low carbon designated zones
I can't go anyway, as recently I've just had two major operations, so can't drive, but the travel and accommodation costs, actually don't to me represent value for money when, for simply the cost of the instrument, I can get one sent Special Delivery next day once it's announced. What's the rush anyway?
I won't be buying it anyway, whatever it is, as I don't need it, and I'm quite happy with what I've got.
