Remove splitpoint
« on: October 30, 2023, 07:13:02 PM »
Does anyone know how I can set up the keyboard on my Tyros 5 so that the splitpoint is removed?
I would like to be able to play it as a single manual organ. Can it be arranged so the splitpoint can be removed, (or set right down to the lowest note), an organ style selected, and saved to a convenient location such as a registration memory.
I would be brateful for any help
Thanks
Tony

Tony,

Turn off ACMP and have only an organ voice selected for Right 1 part.

Thanks Rick. So simple, I feel like an idiot for asking :)

No such thing as a stupid question. That's how we all learn!

You can also have accompaniment on and still use a full keyboard. Select mode AI full keyboard.

Yes, but you would also have to set the voices the same for left and right, and cancel any octave shifts.

Better to turn ACMP off.

Not if you also want accompaniment. You move the split point and store it in a set up registration. The piano room sets up this way automatically.

The OP does not want accompaniment.

Yes, I saw that, but was just letting him know that he could have both a full keyboard instrument and accompaniment if he wished. But has to go about it a slightly different way.
