Topic: No sound from speakers.

Hi now seem to have a problem with the sound plays fine through head phones but can't get any sound through the speakers. All speakers etc are plugged in and the mains for the base in on. Any help would be appropriate regards Dave.   (Churchill)

Check the cable from the bass unit to the Tyros. The 8 pin contact is probably broken.

If you use a 3.5 -6.35 adaptor when using headphones ensure you remove the adaptor when unplugging the headphones, this might sound silly but some people have realised this was the problem.

Hello Churchill,

First check if the electrical outlet that supplies your TRS MS 01 works well with another device.

Then, if all the connections are good and have not been modified recently, it is possible that the small fuse inside the Yamaha TRS-MS01 is cut by old age and repeated power-ups.

Simply unplug the Yamaha TRS-MS01 from the mains and disassemble the rear panel held by 8 screws to access the internal printed circuit in order to see if the small standard fuse (Classic and clearly visible glass tube) which is on the electronic card is cut.
Simply replace it with the same value which, from memory, should be a 1500 mA (1,5 A) value, it is marked above.

Yamaha should have placed a small diode on the front to indicate the correct mains power supply for the TRS MS 01.

When this happens it is usually the cable from the Sub Woofer to the keyboard that is faulty. Try a new cable.

Try "Functions" "Utility 2 tab" ensure that the setting are correct. Speakers on or Phones on. Try it.
