Tascam Dr-40X

Is anyone using a Tascam Dr-40x recorder to record music from their Clavinova?  If so is the captured sound decent?  Are you using the Tascam built in mics or the Clavinova Line-out to Tascam Line-in.

Thanks for any feedback.

I've not used a DR40x, but in general you won't want to use the built in mics on any recorder when listening to speaker output.
With digital instruments, you want as few 'translations' as possible, so always direct out into a recorder (unless you're just trying to capture ambient sound, that would be the exception)

I have a DR-40x I use for video production and music. Excellent little recorder. Use Line connections.

Thank you Mark and Mark for your responses.  My 20 year old Sony RCDW7V gave up.  I always used Line Connections with it so I will get RCA to XLR adapters and use the audio cables on the Tascam DR-40X.  I appreciate your advice.
