Topic: Just a Little information

  As no one seems to be posting anything I thought this may be useful to some who do not know about this
Some of you may be wondering how you can have your songs playing one after another on Genos. This will work for Midi or Audio
First press Song on gateway button and at the top of the page set it to List and then pressed Add Song. Go to the folder you have the songs in and open it. Make sure you have Midi selected at the top of the page if making Midi list or, Audio if using WAV files. Now you will see all your song titles. If you want to load all the songs in that folder then press Select All. They will all high lite and then press Add to song list. Now you will see the list. Select your first song and it will show a green background. The blue button will be on the player and you can either press this to start or use the one in the song player screen. Once you are happy it is doing what you want press SAVE and name your list. You can make as many lists as you want. If you don't have your songs in folders then just high light the ones you want to use. Very handy for just listening to Background music when taking a break.

Thanks so much Eileen for the step by step as still am plagued with getting this feature down correctly but due to getting the dgx670
had tabled making an inquiry,,   Voila ,, i know have the instructions i need to make some song play lists.   Have inquired many times how to do this but never successful.   Stijn helped tremendously.

It is now printed out so can refer to it without trudging up the forum topic.

So much appreciate getting this information and it is not LITTLE   IT IS BIG STUFF FOR ME.

Hi Eileen,
This is great and just the sort of info I love.  I don't really use midis  (above my pay grade!!!!!) but I have a number of midis that came with a set of style collections I bought on usb's and I just use them to listen to and then try to copy.  I have now got them on your list and can therefore go straight to them without ferreting amongst a pile of USB's.  I'm sure you know already that it does work on the SX900 also.

I have an audio folder on my Genos I use when I take a  break I like playing commercial  songs
On my Tyros 4 I could set them to play automatically the songs I wanted to do,  on the Genos I can't  seem to do this so every time I want to play  I have to highlight  one song there must be a solutions? Maybe you could help ?

Hi Paula --

I use Genos in much the same way.

I created registration banks -- one button per song. Each song (button) remembers the audio file to be played and the initial voice setting. I went so far as to assign and remember a style for each song, too, if I want to play using a style instead of an audio backing track.

  You have to select the white Gateway button marked Song first as the links to your songs must be saved here for it to work as it did on your other keyboards.

Thanks your a peach ..I got it and it works great
I must have a brain block
One of my very good friends a guitar player age 85 cut his hand and is not able to play ...I offered to let him use my Tyros 4 and set him up with one
Finger cords I wanted to show him how to do a simple record  ugh I forget I am so focused  on the Genos
I have a button on the screen of the Tyros 4 that is a little sticky and you have to push it a couple of times to work so I don't want to sell it
Thanks again all is going well with the Genos I love that KB  I have a big 3 day gig coming up again at our country fair  my contract reads that I do 30 mln shows and then I take a break I am there for 6 hours so the audio player works great for breaks fun fun
