Well it’s not an arranger, doesn’t have auto accompaniment, but a very interesting instrument. Great price, very portable, and reviews of sound quality and operation are excellent. Would maybe be a great midi controller for an arranger, with bonus sounds, better keyboard and piano, and lightweight.
Maybe even more telling is that it fits right into the stated strategy in the Yamaha annual report, packaging up to date electronics into a conventional piano, and low cost.
Along with the latest DGX and CVP models it shows this strategic direction is not just words. And I might add - the non appearance of a Genos2.

At least something new was released with the ck series,....as for genos 2? there could be a possibility that Yamaha will introduce a totally different arranger kb of some sort called something else ::)......at this point no one knows except them.
secrecy is key..........   :-\

Played the CK88 last week:

It's a nice instrument at an affordable price. Follows Yamaha's recent approach with stage keyboards: a streamlined front panel that allows essential tweaks without a lot of menu diving.

All the best -- pj
