This might seem a daft question but how do I know what version I currently have on my computer?

Not a daft question at all.

Load YEM, and in the top right hand corner you will see an 'i' (info) symbol.

That will tell you your version.

Hi Mike,

Yes, as already mentioned by Eileen, the current YEM version is 2.9.0. I strongly recommend always using the latest YEM version. (Note that newer packs are often not compatible with older YEM versions.)

On Windows it is best to first uninstall the old YEM version in "Apps and Features". (The user data (packs already imported) are retained.) Then install the new version.
