My psr s900 country girls have gone astray
« on: October 26, 2023, 05:59:39 PM »
Dear PSR S900 owners-
A few weeks ago, while I was away, a somewhat musical teenage family member used my PSR S900 keyboard, with permission and strict caveats.  However, they decided to push the boundaries and go sound exploring:  They opened up the vocal harmony file, and the vocal harmony type pages, and then clicked on my perennial favorite, “country girls”.

From there, the sound-explorer delved into the edit page, and started changing many of the 24 parameter settings……and yes, he “saved” the changes.  Which ones and how much, I have no idea. Trying to get this information from a beloved scattered-brain teen proved fruitless.  I only know that my once pure “country girls” now sound wholly corrupted, putrid, and vile.

I tried to get the original factory installed parameter settings for my “country girls” from Yamaha support, but that proved equally futile.

So now I must ask a favor from all who have used, or still have/use, a PSR S900.  Specifically, those of you who have never changed, and saved, any of the 24 parameters of your “country girls”.  This means you still have the original factory-installed settings of these parameters.  And this is the information that I need to return my country girls to their former wonderful voices.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the PSR Tutorial Foirum, cjbemp!

In this case, is it a PSR-S900 (from 2006) or the current PSR-SX900?

Best regards,
Chris

Hello Chris-
In this case it's the PSR S900, bought new in 2008.
Are you able to help my dilemma?
