Genos V2 Superior Playlist
« on: April 04, 2023, 02:39:19 PM »
I must apologise that my few questions on this site have all been what for most members would be basic and straight forward. My excuse is that a, I’m elderly b, I find the technical side of Genos quite in depth and c,  I’ve had a minor stroke which has affected my memory.
Excuses said, could I get a bit of help with the installation of the Playlist v2. I’ve actually got it working ok from a USB stick (USB 1) but would prefer to have it on the “USER drive. I’ve tried to copy it to the user drive but as soon as I remove the USB stick the playlist can’t find the files. Where am I going wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
Regards Mike

The Playlist is designed to work from a USB drive. To get it to work from the User drive, you need to redesign it.

A playlist is a simple TSV file. You need to edit the file (in a spreadsheet program like Excel or Google Sheets) to change the drive letter from the USB drive to the User drive.

Mike,

Here is the Playlist that you can use on the USER:  corrected:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/5osdyrnr3zsjso2/GenosV2SuperiorPack.tsv?dl=0

In order to work you will have to copy the folder "PlaylistForGenosV2SuperiorPack" to the USER in the section Registrations. Do not change the name of the folder!!!!

If you don't have the folder, here is a link to it:  https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/17795nysio6qcndolk1rx/h?dl=0&rlkey=bhmfwkml5l2fyevrkyzev2fjp

Please let me know if it worked OK.

Many thanks for your reply /advice. In view of this I am happy to use the file from USB  1. I thought I was doing something wrong.

Many thanks for your suggestions. Now that I know that the files were meant to operate from a USB I am happy to accept this. I think I would struggle to make the changes suggested but I do appreciate your offer to help.
Regards and best wishes
Mike

Hi Stijn,

please check the first link in your post above. This link currently points to the Genos Superior Pack (.cpf file), not a Playlist file (.tsv).

Best regards,
Chris
➪ Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it.
➪ Never put the manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

In view of your efforts to resolve my problem I am going to at least attempt to get the files into the user section.
Many thanks to you both
Mike
