Not sure about live control, but all the other items can be stored in a registration.

Gary,
I don't know about the PSR series but I don't think you can store the Master EQ/Compressor in a registration on a Genos.

Hi Bruce,

Favorites:
Unfortunately I haven't found any information in any of the Genos manuals (Owner's Manual, Reference Manual, Data List) on whether/how to save/backup the current Favorites. Presumably these settings are contained in a (.bup) Backup file (contains all user-defined System settings and the contents of the internal User drive) and in a (.ssu) System Setup file (created under "Menu > Utility > Factory Reset/Backup > page 2/2 > Setup Files > System").

User Effect settings:
Quote from Genos Reference Manual, page158:
The User Effect settings including the following data can be managed as a single file (.eff).
     • User Effect types
     • User Master EQ types
     • User Master Compressor types
     • User Vocal Harmony/Synth Vocoder types
     • User microphone settings

To save/load the User Effect settings, go to "Menu > Utility > Factory Reset/Backup > page 2/2 > Setup Files > User Effect" (Save/Load buttons).

Live Control:
Usually you save Live Control settings in Registrations (with Live Control box ticked). The current Live Control settings are also included if you save a (.bup) Backup file. Note: A (.ssu) System Setup file does NOT contain ALL Live Control settings (see also page 88 in the Genos Data List).

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

➪ Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it.
➪ Never put the manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Thanks Chris for your detailed explanation.
Sorry to reply late, busy with job.

I will check again what I've backed-up and see if I've done it correctly.
BY the way I have PSR-A5000, not Genos, but I guess they are very closed in OS.

Appreciated your help.

Thanks for your feedback, Bruce!

The backup options mentioned apply equally to Genos, PSR-SX models and PSR-A5000.

The above-mentioned instructions for the Genos User Effect settings (Genos Reference Manual, page 158) can be found in the A5000 Reference Manual on page 127.

Best regards,
Chris
