Dgx670 with a mixer and speakers
« on: February 23, 2023, 04:11:47 AM »
Just wondering if anyone has used an outside mixer with powered speakers such as jbl 306 (or similar). Not sure I want to do this, the on board mixer and speakers are very good. Just curious if I would be upgrading the sound or just stay with on board.

Billinok. Even a pair of powered monitor speakers would greatly improve the sound from the DGX670.
Example test...Connecting a good pair of headphones will give you an idea of the improvement that the DGX can give.

Even the most moderately priced powered monitors will be an upgrade on built in speakers on ANY Yamaha arranger keyboard. We all have done this. No real need for a mixer if you are only connecting the keyboard. . Just connect directly to speakers.
There are many, many posts on this subject, suggesting different brands models etc.
