None of us can answer “Why did Yamaha” questions. Only Yamaha can do that.

There are several things 'missing' on the SX700/900! Styles are easy to copy from another keyboard, or to download, then install and revoice as required. What annoys me is how they've culled some of the very useful voices from the S970 and S975. They haven't even made it into 'Legacy', just disappeared! Yes, only Yamaha could tell us why, if they were so inclined! :)

Hey KM

You Should copy all your files ( Styles, registration, OTS, midi, mp3, wav, cpi, cpf, etc) to a back-up drive , before you change the keyboard. Even files created by Yamaha that you use, because they change a lot along the years.
