Ok, works great; just the songs to link to the registrations; midi settings ok now; all the best Patrick

If you have the ipad already connected to the Yamaha, you need to link the pdfs to the registarations in Mobilesheets (MS).

Open MS on your ipad
Open the pdf you want to link in MS
Touch the middle of the pdf (in MS) to bring up the top bar
In the top left hand corner (MS) press the icon that looks like a rubber tipped pencil (not the paint brush)
This will bring up the edit menu in MS.
Make sure you have set up, saved and opened the registration you want to link to the pdf on the Yamaha
Back to the MS edit screen now -
Touch the midi tab.
If there are no linked registrations the midi commands main box (in MS) should be empty.
Now just press the link button (RHS of MS) which looks like a link of a chain
Press OK to save (top right hand corner of MS)

A couple of small caveats.  The above are instructions using an Android device.  I have no reason to believe they would not be the same on an ipad.  Also I know this works on a Genos and a CVP805 and I would imagine it would work on your SX too.

Kind regards,
David

And what are the midi addresses in the sx900/700 for selecting a specific registration memory? It's about MSB LSB or SysEx

Hi MArcinek,

Here is some information regarding Registration SysEx on Genos and PSR-SX models:

You can alternatively use the "old" method with Bank Select MSB / LSB + ProgramChange on the port and channel set to "Keyboard" in MIDI > Receive. To do this, all registration banks used must be saved in a single folder, and the bank names must be numbered with a preceding 3-digit number. In addition, the registration bank files must be numbered consecutively. There must not be any gaps, since the registration banks are addressed in alpha-numeric order. (In order to "reserve" certain numbers, dummy RGT files with the corresponding numbers must be inserted.)

Examples:
MSB 0 / LSB 0 / ProgramChange 0  > first registration bank in the current folder > registration button #1
MSB 0 / LSB 1 / ProgramChange 2  > second registration bank in the current folder > registration button #3
MSB 0 / LSB 2 / ProgramChange 7  > third registration bank in the current folder > registration button #8

Best regards,
Chris

➪ Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it.
➪ Never put the manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Hello Guys,

Not to flood forums with new threads, I figured ill ask here.

I am on Genos now and all is as intended - wonder about Mobilesheets and linking next page to DEC/inc buttons. As I can see, they can't be sent by MIDI.
I wonder How do you control next/previous page on Mobilesheets through your SX/Genos?

Thanks

Thanks guys, I didn't really want to get anything aditional to bring to gigs but keypad Russ suggested may be an option as I suppose I can just keep it on keyboard?
Russ, can you give me link or mod # you have in mind? I suppose it connects via usb to Genos directly?

Hi Akki,

You can use a numeric keypad either with a blutooth dongle connected to a laptop or by USB cable. i'm in the middle of waiting for my new Genos 2 and l'll be adding a computer monitor above the keyboard and my laptop will be on a mount at the side of the Genos.

l tried the numeric keys on a normal keyboard it they work prefectly. i've yet to buy the full version of Mobilesheets and just tried the free verios to see what it was like. l'll be buying the full version soon. l've bought a keypad on it's own to use for turning the pages. l'm toying with the idea of mounting it at the side of the Genos using a flexible mobile phone holder, either that just lying on the left of the keyboard.

This is an example of the USB version
