-that is copying content from one style into another (style assembly): for example (according to this topic), from 4/4 style into 2/4 style. But we should be aware, that by doing it that way, complete style actually changes sound wise. Not because of 4/4 vs 2/4 difference, but because the way style assembly works. That is, notes that don't fit into (smaller) pattern length, will be deleted.
Example:
We have 4/4 style, which originally has pattern length of 2 in MainA:
1st pattern: C3 E3 G3 C4
2nd pattern: C4 E4 G4 C5
-if we now copy above pattern into MainA of 2/4 style, then only 1st pattern will be copied. If that's what we want, then it's quicker if we simply decrease pattern length (in desired style section) and save as new style.
Anyway, only style user knows what (musical) result he wish to get and so it's impossible to give suggestions on what to do.
