DGX 670 larger screen
« on: August 07, 2021, 06:06:57 PM »
Has anyone tried to attach a larger screen to their 670?  It would be nice to have.

I think this has been done on other keyboards…???

Thx

I am looking for a way to add an external screen.  I think this has been done with the Genos

By adding a screen, do you mean adding a monitor so as to see the keyboard display a bit better?

I'm thinking of buying the DGX-670 so I'd be interested in the answer as well.

Doesn’t look like the 670 has a video out port, so, the answer is no.

Thx Fred

Looks like you are right.

The screen is fine for regular operations but small for reading scores etc.

That’s the case with just about every Yamaha keyboard.

Most of us use iPads to get readable scores.

What software would I need to use my iPad with the DGX670?

Thanks.

I’m trying to learn to read treble clef on my DGX.  I’m using the Flowkey app to help and it shows the hookup to use to connect my iPhone to my DGX.

Hope that connection works.

Regarding connecting my DGX to my iPhone; the DGX does have Bluetooth.  However, I was not able to make a midi connection via Bluetooth.

on youtube the Yamaha DGX-670 color screen is often clearly shown, and sometimes shown larger.
No mystery. Their camera is simply focused there.

Myself, I saw my camera draped over my monitor normally used for ZOOM, noticed how already long its USB cord was.

SO, I simply draped that same camera over my vocal mike normally used with the DGX-670 and (of course) my computer monitor is now showing the color screen.
