Using a voice from a registration in another registration
« on: October 17, 2022, 07:47:37 AM »
Hi folks,
I can’t work out how to do this
I have a complete bank of registrations that I want to leave as is finished
I have started another bank of registrations
How do I use some of the voices that are in the first bank in the second bank
Just individual ones
Only voices nothing else
It means selecting a bank voice in the first bank then adding it to the second bank and memorising it there
Can copy and paste be used or do I do it pressing memory button in the first bank then a blank button on the second regbank
I think I have done it before but seem to be missing something this time
Adrian

1) Select the Reg Button ("click" the appropriate button) of the Reg Bank #1 you want to copy
2) Without pressing any other button on the panel, select Reg Bank #2
3) Hold "MEMORY" button on the Registration section and memorize to the Reg position (button) you want. During the operation you can select the data you want to memorize. If you don't want to memorize the style just uncheck. In any case you can replace the style in any time, as far as I understand your priority is the voices combination.
4) Save the Reg Bank #2
5) Go back to Reg Bank #2 and repeat the process...

HI Adrian:

That method will work well as long as you want to copy all three voices into the other registration.  However, if you want to copy just one voice, or maybe copy R2 from one registration to R1 in a different registration or any other combination, you can do that with YRM.

You the Load Registration Bank, to open the target bank of registrations.

Click Registration Builder, then Add Banks to open the source bank of registrations.

Click the registration line in the target box.

Click the registration line the the source box.

With both highlighted, click the button Copy Settings.

Choose the voice you want to replace by checking one of the left boxes, then select the voice to copy in the right box.

Click the Process button to execute the copy.

Once you've done your copy, you click the Save/Convert button to save the changes you made.

With the Registration Builder, you can copy voices/styles from any number of other banks into the target bank/button by adding other banks using the Add Banks button.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Murray

Hi danand
Thankyou again for your suggestion of how to transfer a reg file from one reg to another
I tried it today and it worked just as you said, I had been trying to do that for ages.
