Yamaha considering the old folks !!
« on: August 07, 2022, 03:04:48 PM »
I have been playing a Tyros4 for years. Sadly, it is getting heavy. I have many style files that I have built on a thumb drive. Simply, is there any advice on a smaller unit that will play the files on my thumb drive. I have to keep playing but can not keep carrying!! Thanks

Your best bet is a Genos.

There were many times when I was loading up my vehicle that I wished I played clarinet in a band, or even better, a flute. Especially at 1.00am after the gig. :D

If you want something really light with its own integral  speakers then have a try of the SX900. It will play all your styles.

Amen, Mike! I started taking a 3-octave Reface YC and a small powered speaker to choir rehearsals. About the size of a clarinet case.  :D

Even the PSR-SX600 (8.1kg) is pretty amazing -- assuming one doesn't need advanced features.

I just purchased a used Reface YC. Amazing little instrument!
