Saving MIDI Song file onto Genos
« on: October 11, 2022, 08:11:47 PM »
I have made several attempts to Save MIDI songs to Genos.
They load and play fine.
I know that I am not successful with Saving because when I remove the thumb drive I get the "!" because Genos no longer has access the song.

Can someone direct me to the correct steps?

Thanks!

Hello Tommarr.
To save your MIDI song file onto Genos do this:
1. Press Song B on the home screen.
2. At the left of the screen press on your USB stick, for instance USB1.
3. Find the file you want to copy to Genos.
4. Press file at the top of the screen, and copy the file to Genos.
Yamaha keyboards have a file masking system, so all folders will show on your USB stick, but only MIDI files will show up, other files will not be visible.

Hope this helps :)

Load in your Midi file from USB press File at the top of the screen. Select Copy and now press copy which is now on the far right of the screen. Now press Copy here and choose User. Select where you want to put it.  It is advisable to create a folder called Midi Files or what ever you want to describe it by. Open folder and press Copy here.
If you have several files you can press Copy All and they will all high light and be copied onto your user using the above instructions.
  Hope this helps.
