Topic: Database of which styles go with which songs?

I remember seeing an impressive Excel or database which had a list of many many styles and what songs can be played with them.

Can anyone recall seeing this or does my memory fail me?

Your memory is fine. Titled:
"Joe Water's Master Music Finder Database".
Should be on this site somewhere, in .pdf format.
Great utility, use it a lot.

Yes, it is possible.  Just upload the file(s) to your online storage account and subsequently post the link to the file(s) here, Etienne.

I'm not certain why you can't see this member's email address, because it should be visible to you as I previously described.

Etienne - Open a post. Click the user name shown in red at the top left of the post. Sending PM is on the left but look at the list on the right, email is the third one down below ‘Posts’ and ‘Thanked’

Hi Al and everyone,
Think some replies are getting off track. Al was not looking for a music finder file or even a doc list from those files.
A little while ago Joe Waters updated a pdf file...

Document Title: Joe Waters Master Music Finder Database
File Title: JW Style and Song Master List .pdf

I think this is the file Al wants.
I have sent Al a Private Mail asking him to reply as the PM gives the recipient MY email address. In turn when I receive his email that will give me HIS email address. I can then reply and attach the pdf file.
Messy for a file of only 140kb !
Surely there could be a place on the site for this and similar files.

Hope this clarifies Al's simple request.

That setting is checked as "allowed" in their settings, Etienne.

Please don't post links to the Charter Member's boards in our public forum, Johan, as only Senior members and Supporters have access to those boards.

When any other member tries to access the link, they will receive a message that the link is inaccessible, and I receive emails and private messages that the link is broken.  I then have to respond to those inquiries, which consumes a lot of my time.

Hey Stephen!!  Yes, it's been too long.  Hope everything is well with you and the family.  My daughter and son-in-law are trying to get us to move in with them in Connecticut! We will see!

I don't really use MF databases any longer since I got the Genos, but I remember seeing an EXCEL work sheet with Songs and styles listed.  I guess I'm getting senile!!!

Some of our members have trouble using our Private Message system and just completely ignore the messages sent to their Inbox.

I wasn't referring to you, Robert.  I was referring to Al.  I don't believe I've ever sent you any private messages.

I've had several members tell me that they can't use our Private Message system, which is nothing but an internal email service, because it doesn't work for them.  I thought it was possible that Al was having trouble using the Private Message system.

Hi Robert,

When you send a private message to any member, please make sure you place a check mark in the box "Save a copy in my outbox", which is located just below the lower left hand corner of the message text box.  This is optional, but I would recommend that you keep this checked or you will not have a record of the private messages you send to our members.

You could send Al another PM and this time ask him to respond by sending his email address to you.

Great to hear from you.  Wow the years go and everything is going well with us.  I'm guessing you're still in the Tampa area.  We are in our RI home for the summer we'll be heading back to Ocala come this fall and will stay the winter. Going to Ct? We are only 2o miles from the state line but RI is such a small state, that's no surprise.    I use the Genos too and I love the Playlist feature, for me it's the goose that laid the golden egg.
