Topic: MY TYROS SPEAKER WIRE IS GONE, WHAT DO I DO?

Hey guys,


My wire for the official TYROS5 speaker (trs-ms05) is gone and after looking online for hours to find anyone that sells it, only one option comes up - from U.K, and I would have to spend in total over $100!! (I'm based in New Jersey)


Friends, I turn to you for advice on how to go to about this, maybe there are alternative wires that can substitute yamahas..

If it a broken wire why not strip it back and buy a new pin
Or even solder the wires and tape it back up.     Jim

Wow... that's crazy. I logged into my USA Yamaha parts/service account and the cable is not even list there (PN WV397600) and as you stated it appears to only be available in the European side of the world. Even parts I ordered from Yamaha within the last 4 years are no longer available. Yamaha must have established an 'end of life' for providing parts and accessories.

When you say gone, do you mean lost/misplaced or 'gone' as in broken? If broken and you can't repair it yourself you might be able to find an electronics repair shop to do it.
If lost and the keyboard and speakers never left the house I would certainly be looking everywhere possible before buying one from overseas.

Do a search for "Yamaha WV397600" --- there are several vendors that show up.

It's in stock at Thomann and it can be shipped to the US (granted, a bit expensive with the shipping cost).  I've done that with some unique Tyros parts and it's worked out fine.  Thomann is a good reseller.

I can't imagine it would be difficult to make one if you get the wire and connectors from Amazon or similar vendor....

There are several places here in England that sell it, around 40 English pounds, might be worth having a look to see if you can get low or even free shipping costs.

Not only to add insult to injury, it seems the few European online retailers that may have the cable in stock are preventing the retailer from shipping to the US, as what is the case when I added the cable to my shopping cart at Thomann

If the webshop won't accept to ship to USA, it's maybe worth contact the dealer and ask if it's possible to pay in advanc and if they the can send the package it as a gift?
