PSR-SX900 "Rattling Keys"
« on: February 22, 2022, 01:00:10 PM »
Hello music lovers,

Once again I would like to discuss the subject of "Rattling Keys".
On my SX900, all the black keys rattled.
It was re-greased by the service. Now, after 8 months
some keys are rattling again. What are your experiences?
Are there also SX900 keyboards without this defect.
Of course you can play with it, but when you sell it, it will be
it becomes a big problem.
I need your information before I talk to my dealer.
Thanks in advance and greetings from Netherland.

Rainer

PS. My nickname is Bossi, Bissig is the Google correction.
Is it possible to change that ?

My SX700 has been re-greased 10 days ago. I hope that the rattling black keys won't return.

And unfortunately not only with the black keys. Several white keys on my SX900 do the same noise. A wonderful touch keybed with a factory defect underneath.

I had the same problem on my sx900 with all blacks and one white key. To completely solve this problem, in addition to the place where the grease is, the contact point of the white and black keys on top row (horizontal plastic tape, where the screw is located) should also be greased.

Translated from Portuguese to English by Google:   Mine already went to the service to change the grease twice! When you change it, it's 100%... but after a few months, the noise comes back! Sad and pitiful! The two times I took it to the service it was still under warranty (twice in less than a year)... I want to see now that it's out of warranty how it will be...

It's seems like it's a hard to find reference.

Any other grease who can do the job?

Needs to be done by a recommended Yamaha engineer.

Then, it needs grease in two places?
