I'm sure I can share once I talk to the forum member who helped me.  I don't want to step on his toes so to speak.

I'll get in touch with him later and see what he suggests.  He may want to post himself.   I'm just trying to be respectful to a person who has helped a lot.

Stay tuned!

I have Yamaha Styleworks and both pins but the latest of the last three updates rendered my Styleworks useless.
If you remember Joe , i kept having an exception and even all the help i received did not make the program work.
I have an I7 fast computer and run Win 11. Stylemagic works a treat , but i find it difficult to make a style on it and it is a little long winded.
I Had paid quite a bit of money on this program and no success with this version.
Someone said that Universal is better, but with all these cracks going on , i have been a little cautious.
I would love EMC Styleworks to work as it once did.

All the Best

John,

Try running it in compatibility Mode XP SP3.  That may help.

To do that, right-click on the .exe file, Select Properties and click on the compatibility TAB, than select XP SP3. Let us know if that works.

I now have StyleWorks 4.9.99 I installed successfully with the help of another forum member.

I have the very last version Klaus made downloadable, EMC XT Universal 4.9991.
He mentioned that he was very close to release a new version with major changes and updates, and I assume it would have been v.5
It's not any problem for me to share the file, but it won't be any help anyone that don't have a valid version to update, or a solution to disable the registration feature, or a valid PIN 2 to enter. I don't have any solution myself.
Btw, if installed on a PC not used with this software earlier, the program will run fully working for 3 or 4 days before it get more or less useless without add PIN 2.

Cheers 🥂

Hello

Nice to see such effort trying to make this happen.  I never throw anything out.  I found an old hard drive I saved that has files from 2005 on it.  It probably won't help. I think I have what everyone else has. I have StyleWorks 2000 Universal and StyleWorks Yamaha 2000 installation files. I scanned for virus and installed them both. They both installed easily in windows 11 home.
Of course when I run the program it immediately asks for the registration info. I couldn't find that. I'll keep looking.   Thanks.  -charley

Greetings!

I did find a working version of EMC Styleworks and have safely installed it.  It runs and doesn't ask for any license info.  However it is only version 1.99.  The PSR9000 is the only Yamaha SFF format to choose but it works. Of course it has many other brands of keyboards to choose from. This is a great start for me until something better comes along.  Best wishes.  -charley

OK,

I'm ready to share what I found.  It is a DIY (Do It Yourself) procedure.  If you are having trouble with StyleWorks in any way, please contact me via email only. DO NOT CONTACT ME BY PM... I will not respond.  If you don't want me have your email, then I can't help you.  I'm not trying to be rude here, it's just that the info I will provide is inappropriate to post on this forum, even in a PM.

Thanks for your understanding

You can find my email in my Profile.

I don`t like to comment on these kind of things, but seriously. I bought an older version of style works which I use occassionally
and have seen the latest version with the keygen which i have not used. Mainly because of the low grade keygen exe which has a low risk to the computer.
But the reality exists that the author has sadly passed and unsuspecting owners can`t use the program.
Lets not get away from the fact that a lot of the forums styles ,midi etc etc are in some cases are copyrighted so its a bit much to have ago at people trying to use a now defunked program
Also the program itself allowed copyright  infringement so on this occasion I think its not much of an issue, certainly not warranting as much attention.
