I just got my audio interface (FocusRite Scarlett 8i6) yesterday and hooked it up. Things are working, but I think I have a problem.
I have the digital audio output of the Genos hooked up to the digital audio input of the 8i6. I have analog audio coming out of the 8i6 going into the AUX analog inputs of the Genos.
I tried recording audio from the Genos on my PC in Cubase. It worked, but the audio level was very low. So I adjusted the Genos digital audio output up to +6dB. That improved things, but not enough. So I adjusted it up to +12 dB.
At that point, the audio level indicators in Cubase went up to maximum over the course of about two seconds and stayed there. This makes me think that I have some kind of feedback loop going on, possibly that the AUX input to the Genos is going right back out on the digital audio output.
Is it possible that this is going on? If so, is there some setting that disconnects AUX input from the digital audio output?
