Saving mixer volume level for Audio-linked Multipads
« on: February 06, 2022, 08:40:25 PM »
Can't seem to save the mixer volume levels of my audio-linked Multipads in a registration. Is this a known limitation of audio-linked multi pads? They always return to 127 even when changed and saved in a registration.

Hi Stuart,

Unfortunately, according to the "Parameter Chart" in the Genos Data List, the volume of Audio Link Multi Pads set in the Mixer tab "Multi Pad" cannot be saved anywhere. This setting option is therefore practically useless with the current Firmware version.

The only possibility is to set the desired "Audio Level" for the individual Pads directly in the "Audio Link Multi Pad" display and to save this with the Bank. (See also the attached picture.)

Best regards,
Chris

Unbelievable. The is as much an oversight as not being able to save MIDI settings in registrations or MIDI setup files to any external USB drives.

Thanks for the legwork on this Chris!
Stuart.

Thanks for your kind feedback, Stuart!

By the way, you cannot save a single User MIDI template on a USB stick, but you can save the current MIDI Setup containing all User MIDI templates that are currently in the User drive (up to 10 templates) to a USB stick (in "Utility > Factory Reset / Backup > page 2/2 > Setup Files > MIDI").

(See also the attached picture.)

*UPDATE*
I've found a workaround for this issue. You can preset the Live Control value for the current Multi pads and this can be saved and recalled in a registration. While it won't let you save independent volume levels for each Multipad entry, at least you can set a common level and tweak it while playing via the Live control. This works on both the Genos and the SX900.
