A bug on MIDI settings?
« on: December 28, 2021, 10:16:04 AM »
Something strange.
Press MENU --> Menu2 --> MIDI. Do some changes and then press the Save button: the instrument doesn't allow me to store the new settings, also the File button is greyed out. Is this my problem only? I have the last 2.10 OS version.
Thanks

Francesco

Hi Francesco
Same issue here, I don't seem to be able to save my midi setup since the latest OS update.
One for the issue log!

I noticed the same thing as Francesco.
Apparently it works when one
first tap the name field and then:
> "User" > in File Edit > "Save" > "Save Here".....

(Installed version: v 2.10)

Ok super weird.  Just turned my Genos on again this afternoon and now the Midi save feature is working!  The file option is no longer disabled!
I'm guessing a certain sequence of events must have disabled it?  Whatever though, it's back!

Hi all,

You don't have to switch manually from "Preset" to "User". The following steps are sufficient to save the current MIDI settings:

- Touch the box with the name of the current MIDI template (e.g. "All Parts") to open the MIDI File Selection display
- Touch "File" icon.
- Touch "Save" icon. The "User" tab is activated automatically.
- Touch "Save here" icon. It is best to use a new or changed file name at this point.
- Touch "OK".

By the way, you can (as with earlier models) only save a maximum of 10 User MIDI tempates.

Edit:
I also found that the method of saving I described above is only necessary if a Preset MIDI template is loaded. If, on the other hand, a User MIDI template is already loaded, the "Save" icon works as desired.

Best regards,
Chris

➪ Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it.
➪ Never put the manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Yes, after upgrading to Version 2.1.0 I also have a problem with MIDI settings. Factory settings cannot be selected, and USER settings are missing. The solution is in Reset MIDI, watch the video about it.
