Keyboard Master. I assume you don't have a DGX670.
The DGX670 (I own one) is excellent and I'm very happy with it's performance and key-bed...It out performs it's asking price...so we don't need a 680 at this time.

I remember KM asking for a couple of years when the e473 was coming out (and I'm frankly surprised you haven't started asking when the e483 is due).

But as the DGX670 launched April of 2021,
the DGX660 launched April of 2016,
DGx650 was March-ish of 2013
640 was March-ish of 2010
630 was 2008, 620 was 2006.

You can see the times have gotten *longer*. I wouldn't expect one til at least 2025, 2026. You could keep waiting if you like.

Or, like Graham has suggested, you could play a DGX670 now.

The DGX670 is a keyboard where you get a lot for your money. Ideal for piano players who also want arranger functions.

Toril S. DGX670 will also play many of the Yamaha styles.
Many Yamaha early styles are the same and included on many later models.
I find the S900 styles play well balanced on DGX670

A DGX 680 Wirth added chord looper and buttons for it - would be mega cool!

Are there any news or rumors as to release date?

Hi. The Genos 1 was released in October/November 2017, followed by the SX900/700 IN ‎August 2019, then the SX600 in ‎August 2020, followed by the DGX-670 in February 2021.
With the Genos 2 being released in November 2023, my guess is that the SX910/710 will be released in August 2025, then the SX610 in ‎August 2026, followed by the DGX-670 in February 2027.

Why are SOME keyboard players wanting the next model ?.
Just make the best of what you have available now and enjoy it, or take up KNITTING.

The manufacturers will launch new models when they feel the need and it will be at a higher price.
