Rikki's Conversions
« on: November 20, 2021, 11:44:51 PM »
When I go to this link: https://psrtutorial.com/sty/yamaha/psr-sx900.html, there is a section at the bottom that give 12 sets of style conversions under the heading RIKKI'S CONVERSIONS.  I've downloaded them but don't know how to load them on my SX900.  Can someone help me?  Thanks.  DonB

Here is a link for new folks to read about how to use the addon styles.

https://www.psrtutorial.com/cdrom/how2access.html

first you download the style packs.
Unzip the file packs to your PC in order to get to all the individual styles
then copy and paste the unzipped styles to a USB stick
Then stick the USB stick with the styles on it into the back of your keyboard
Then you will be able to access the styles on your keyboard

So what have you tried and got stuck with which step?

Hi Don,

To call Styles from the USB stick, the basic procedure is as follows:

- Copy the unzipped Styles onto the USB stick on your computer. Make sure that the Styles on the stick are in folders, if possible, not directly in the "root" of the USB stick (because the supported number of files directly in the "root" of the stick is limited). In addition, the maximum number of files per folder is 2500.

- Connect the USB stick to the SX900.

- Open the Style File Selection display. To do this, touch the Style section in the Home display or press the Style Category button "Expansion/User".

- Navigate to the drive "User > USB1", there to the desired folder and to the desired Style in order to load it.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

Everyone always said: "This is not possible!" - Then someone came and ... just did it!
