Playlist Genos

The Playlist is a handy tool in which
the automation by the settings
in "Edit" are very pleasant.
Only, is it a pity that Yamaha does not have a
button provided (possibly "Assignable")
like the button "Regist Bank -/+"
to go to the next song without
having to open the Playlist again.

Hello,

If you leave the playlist open the buttons by the rotary control move the curser up and down the playlist.  And Enter will load the song too,  Try that,  I use it to select the next song while the other is ending.  I press enter, then a footswitch makes the first registration live,

Hi Colin,
thanks for the suggestion.
The "-DEC" and "INC+" buttons below the DialWheel
are already known to me (if you mean this one).
This works perfectly with an open Playlist.

What I wish is that people could do this too
but then from the score screen without
to go back to the Playlist.

Vanzee,

I use my registrations as my playlists. I never go directly into my playlists, I just + or - thru the registrations. I also have an iPad Pro connected to keyboard with Songbook+. When I select a registration, the sheet music automatically pops up on iPad and as I scroll thru  the registrations, the sheet music changes accordingly.

For me this is the easiest way to play song after song on a playlist, without ever changing a screen.

Give it a try.

Rick D.

Hi Rick D.
thanks for the suggestion.
I agree that the system you describe
works very well.

You then work in the folder with Reg.banks but no longer
in the playlist.
I know the system, it also works directly on
the Genos score screen without iPad.
(provided the midi file containing the score is loaded,
I always use midi files for the score)

The Playlist does have specific advantages, namely:
create multiple Playlists that may contain the same Reg.banks.
When something is changed in the Reg.bank, one does have
only to store this in this Reg.bank regardless of the number
Playlists in which it may appear.
