My PSR SX900 is my first arranger keyboard and I'm further exploring its capabilities (and loving it!).
As I've started adjusting a style settings or voice settings (including OTS), I want to know if I need to worry about changing things beyond recognition. For example, to learn what some of the settings actually do, I set them at an extreme and then the other extreme. But then I don't remember where the default was. In some places I can hold down the setting and it returns to another level (I'm guessing the default). But sometimes it doesn't do that, and I don't know how to get back to default.
Sometimes when I move away, it asks me if I want to save, sometimes it seems to let me just move away. If it asks me if I want to save, I think by definition I'm then going to be saving in the User area or on a USB and will not be overwriting the style or voice that came with the keyboard? Is that right? I believe I can never overwrite a style or voice or OTS that is a default of the keyboard, right? That gives me some comfort, but how about the flip side - if my messing around actually does get saved, when I don't want it to. Say I play around with a style, don't save it, move away, and come back, will it be back to the default settings, or have my adjusted settings?
I'm trying to avoid doing a full reset because I did that once and I lost a bunch of assignable button settings, and pedals etc (not that big a deal to redo, but still want to avoid).
How about with a registration? If I've made a registration myself, or brought in a registration, those are not a default of the keyboard. So if I change it, the keyboard asks if I want to save, and then will let me overwrite. So I think if I'm not careful, I could lose my original registration settings?
Many thanks in advance.
