Style retrigger
« on: July 07, 2021, 01:33:26 PM »
Hi team,

I just completed my OS update to 2.02. I'm really interested in how the style retrigger function works but have only found a clumsy way of retriggering a 4/4 bar half way through it. This is completely useless if the singer accidentally injects a 5/4 bar.

Can the style be retriggered on any beat? We all have songs where this may be required. Thanks ;).

The best way is to assign it to a pedal. Yes, it can be reset on any beat.

Okay, thanks Fred. I assigned it to the Assignable button D. When I press it with a style running, a box is displayed that tells me it's merely turned on and that I can press a Fill button to restart the style but it always restarts half way through a measure. It won't restart on any other beat.

I know a foot switch is best but for learning purposes, I used the button. Have I done something wrong?

Sounds like you’re using half-bar fill when you want style Reset. You can test it out using the Tap Tempo button (while a style is running).

I think you're right. Fred. I'll look for Style Reset and give it a shot. Thanks!

I looked and found a Style Lock/Reset bit I'm still lost. Perhaps someone could write out the exact procedure for setting this up? Thanks.

Okay, I found it cokobu. I just press the Tap Tempo button and it resets the style. Very slick! Thanks ;).

To assign it to a pedal, it’s Reset/Tap Tempo.
