« on: July 06, 2021, 02:59:31 AM »
Hi.
I am trying to   play Highland Cathedral on the tyros 5. Saw a video by coyam music 78 on utube and they had irish pipers air playing. Has anyone got that on their zip folders that will play on my keyboard. They were playing on the genos. It was on voice 3. Hope i have explained it properly

Kind regards Margaret

Hi Margaret,

Just like on the Genos, the Tyros5 has the two S.Art2! voices "IrishPipesAir" and "IrishPipesDance" as well as the Regular voice "Bagpipe" in the panel voice folder "Woodwind".

Certain voices from the "Celtic" Expansion Pack may also be suitable for this style of music:

Demo videos:

>>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdfJhC8KLqY

Here you can also download some very good (free) IrishPipes Expansion voices (Highlander, High Drones, High Drones II). These voices are in .ppf format, so for use with the YEM:
>>> http://cms-sounddesign.de/page108_en.html

Note: To install these Expansion Packs (.cpf/.ppf format), you must use the Yamaha Expansion Manager (YEM), and your Tyros5 must have an optional Flash ROM Expansion Memory Module installed (available in 512MB, 1024MB or 2048MB). For the CMS voices you can make a new, empty Pack in YEM first. Then import all desired .ppf Packs into this one Pack.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

➪ Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it.
➪ Never put the manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
