Free midi files
« on: June 05, 2021, 08:40:28 AM »
I’ve posted this link elsewhere, but it might be useful to someone so I’ve repeated it here as a new topic.

If you want a look for some free midi files, there is a search option on vanBasco.com
Also the karaoke player which plays midi files with lyrics is very good, it’s free but windows only if I remember.

Thanks for your hint, Oldden!

I myself have known the "vanbasco.com" site for a long time and have been using the "vanBasco Player" since Windows XP times. :)

By the way: Did you actually receive my PM (Personal Message) on the subject of "EZ 162 Lounge Music Collection" that I sent on May 25, 2021?

Best regards,
Chris

Got the message, thank you. Sent you a reply when I was in my van in Wales, and sometime it goes and sometimes it doesn’t.

Thanks for the confirmation, Oldden!

Above all, it was important to me that you are informed why your previous post on the mentioned topic was deleted.

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Don,

I just thought again: I think I already had the "vanBasco" player on my live laptop when I was running Windows 95/98. At that time I didn't have a keyboard with me, just my accordion and a small laptop (in connection with several Korg sound modules). But vanBasco was already free back then. :)

@all
Here are some links on the subject of "searching MIDI files" on the website of our forum member Jørgen Sørensen:

Have fun!

Thinking of being old, I remember writing auto.exe files in dos well before windows, then BBC Basic and 6502 assembler. Plus basica , gwbasic, Visual Basic , fortran, C  and it’s development  versions and heaven knows how many more. I’m glad to say now I’m in my seventies all I need to do is find a good film on Netflix, if I get stuck I just have to ask my grandkids and they know it all……
