New (to me) use of the Playlist feature
« on: May 24, 2021, 09:24:39 PM »
Some time ago, someone (Gary Diamond?) posted the great advice that audiences like to hear the music that they listened to when they were teenagers. I remember someone else posting a list of songs sorted by release date so you could cater to such audiences. He recommended others create such a list based on their own repertoire.

I've finally put this advice into practice by creating a Playlist sorted by year. I simply copied my most popular playlist, and inserted the year at the start of the title. Then on the Genos, used the sort feature, and, voila -- another project completed in record time (not counting the procrastination period).

Hope this idea is helpful to others.

Cheers,
Fred

I think what happens is that when you go through puberty, your music sensors snap open. They stay open for about 20 years, and then they snap shut, after which you think “the music the kids are into“ is crap.

That’s definitely what happened to me…  :)
