Genos/PSR-SX voice names
« on: May 02, 2021, 04:58:21 PM »
Hello everyone. I was looking through the PSR-SX900 and Genos voice lists, and I came across a few voices with the same set of three numbers, but different names. A few examples:
Genos: C7 PopGrand 104 11 1 S.Art!
PSR-SX900: PopGrand 104 11 1 S.Art!
Genos: CFX StageGrand 104 10 1 S.Art!
PSR-SX900: RockPiano 104 10 1 S.Art!
Genos: CFX AmbientGrand 104 9 1 S.Art!
PSR-SX900: AmbientPiano 104 9 1 S.Art!

I'm guessing they are very similar, if not the same. If I could compare the demos, that would definitely help, but I don't have a Genos or the SX900, only the SX600.

Wow... I just wish I had the demos or something (in a MIDI file) so I could compare them on my SX600, using the voices that are there. I found demos of the SX900 versions online, but unfortunately I don't have them in a way I could play them using the SX600's piano samples.

I have both Genos and SX600.
If i find a paricular style or registration for the Genos that I like, can anyone suggest a simple process for creating a close match on the SX600 using the voices and styles available?

I realise that they will likely not be identical but, hey, a sax is s sax and a flugel is a flugel, are thry not,

I have downloaded the data lists for both keyboards and will try cross referencing but any hints or tips  would be gratefully received.
Genos/SX900/EW425. (previously owned Korg Pa4x, PSR-S970, PSR 3000 and PSR-S900). Also use Bose L1 Compact, Yamaha StagePAS 400 and far too many other toys!
Often to be found cruising River Thames-sometimes with kb on board.
